The Electric Guitar is DEAD

I'm fired up!

Why? Well, did you hear about the controversial essay published a few days ago in a major newspaper about the supposed “Death of the Electric Guitar”?

Sure got MY attention, I can tell you that 🙂

Headlined “Why My Guitar Gently Weeps” — clever headline, I'll give it that — it makes the case that the electric guitar is suffering a slow, steady death.

Now while I take issue with many of the conclusions drawn in the piece, I DO think it's a great topic of discussion.

It's making quite a bit of noise out there on the Interwebs. Everyone seems to be talking about it.

So what do YOU think?? I totally want to hear your thoughts on this!

One of the original and most successful online guitar teachers, David Taub and Next Level Guitar put together an incredible video on this article and what his thoughts are on the supposed death of the electric guitar.

Check it out here-

Please let me what you think and join the discussion …

P.S. Do I think the electric guitar is truly dying a slow death? Some of David's answers might surprise you. Watch his video response that goes into all sorts of factors, including the recent news about Guitar Center, the latest trends in pop music, and the question everyone seems to be asking, “Where have all the guitar heroes gone”? There's a LOT to unpack there, so please give me your feedback underneath the video.
